It would stop something from hitting the camera/gimbal, or at least reduce the risk a bit.

On my first flight out, I misjudged the height of the a bush whist flying sideways over it, crashed, tipping it over. I CSC'd before it hit the ground and luckily no damage as it landed on long grass upside down.

I have the Bestem Prop guards, and they sent M3x12 screws with both sets, , but I got an email saying I should use M3x10 screws on the P3. The M3x12 work with no binding issues, but I will changes them to M3x10 in any case.

Those are very expensive, especially since you have to buy the prop guards themselves as well.

Try post the question on the DJI forums, they usually have tech support people there than answer these type of problems. I think the gimbal firmware has to be on the SD card to update, but the DJI guys would know better

9.81 m/s2 is normal gravitational acceleration. Terminal velocity is the maximum speed the falling Phantom will get to based on wind resistance, and weight, I would guess no more than 50mph - 22m/s. If I could remember my first year applied mechanics, I could work the exact wind resistance...

I think you are right, not sure what terminal velocity of a Phantom is, but going to take a while a 6m/s to slow it down. Glad someone else decided to test it :)
