    UK pricing, £=$

Usually we get short changed by the "exchange rate" here in the uk, but the mavic is listed as $999 in the us and £999 here. Even with a bit of post-brexit loss of the exchange rate, that's still excessive($1296). If it was closer to the exchange rate, say £800, it would be much more appealing...

    Sorrento/Italy drone rules?

I don't think it was the remote. They just said that the airline would not take it. They implied at first that they would take it in hold luggage but then phoned the airline who suggested they wouldn't take it at all. Unlucky that one of the workers noticed the drone because at first the junior...

    Sorrento/Italy drone rules?

I flew from East Midlands UK. I think I just got unlucky with the guy at security as lots of people have reported no problems. If you're worried about it just pack the drone and the props in your hold luggage and only take the batteries in your carry on. That way security won't know.

    Sorrento/Italy drone rules?

Well security wouldn't let me take my drone in my hand luggage so I had to go back and leave it in my car. Huge shame because the views here are breathtaking and I would have loved to fly it here.

    Thomson Airlines, UK

I don't know why they didn't let me with mine if they say you can bring yours from the same airport. When I get back I'll email them a complaint because I don't mind if you say online that you can't bring it, but it didn't say anything.

    Thomson Airlines, UK

That's exactly what I did. The supervisor was the one who told me they wouldn't take it.

    Thomson Airlines, UK

Yep I had double checked it before hand. God knows what I would have done if I didn't have the car nearby.

    Thomson Airlines, UK

Exactly. That's what was so annoying about it. There was no point in arguing with security because they straight refused to let me take it and arguing with security is a great way to get on a terrorist watch list...

    Thomson Airlines, UK

There wasn't any reason not to let me take it. They weren't bothered about the lipos and I had the props in my checked luggage. They just wouldn't take it because it was a "drone". Makes me wonder if they have recently changed the rules, because I know lots of people normally take them and have...

    Thomson Airlines, UK

I know this is an old post but I'd just like to say that security at East Midlands wouldn't let me take my drone in my hand luggage and when security phoned Thomson to check they implied they wouldn't even take it as checked so I had to leave it in my car. Silly really when it's just an ipad...

Warning about taking phantom through UK security

This is just me trying to help others so they don't have the same thing happen to them. Basically east Midlands airport security wouldn't allow my drone in my hand luggage despite the fact that I had checked online to see what things were allowed by Thomson airways and they didn't say anything...

Phantom 3 Standard range mod , let's do it together...

That might work, but I shouldn't have to do it, litchi should not change it back.

Phantom 3 Standard range mod , let's do it together...

I've done the mod and before starting dji go or litchi I checked iwinfo and the power was 27db however I checked again after opening litchi and the power was 17db. I cannot get it to stay at 27. Any ideas?

Can steps 9-14 be done on Windows or would it be better to use a terminal app on android due to the Linux commands?
