Trouble for filming wild animals from that high in the air? Chasing? From that high in the air? I certainly wouldn't consider following a subject from that high up "chasing". Chasing would imply bad intent and would mean the UAV would have to be at the subjects altitude enabling the possibility...
I agree, it does teach you a lot of confidence. It's one of the most unusual attitudes a student will encounter and too be honest one of the most spooky attitudes. I always felt it should be at least demonstrated if not required during training. My instructor told me it wasn't required but...
New P4P owner. 1st quad ever. Having a heck of a time seeing my subjects. Been trying to get some good footage of wild deer but not seeing them on screen most of the time. I'm using an Nvidia Shield K1 with an anti glare screen protector and a home made sunshade. About all my flights so far have...
Good news update: Since I first got this bird and used my thumb to move the ribbon cable a couple times I haven't had the cycling up and down issue at all. Guess I got lucky. But then again all my flying has been in cold weather. Hopefully the cable doesn't interfere once the weather warms up.
I'm new to quad copters too. I learned the hard way to use the auto landing command. Was landing the other day and just as it was about to touchdown I gave it some stick to move it sideways to line up better to the road and it flipped over and trashed two props! No damage to the bird itself but...
So far I love the Nvidia Shield although I'm new to all this I really haven't had any reliability issues yet. And it's FAST! Even managed to get the Google satellite imagery maps to load on the DJI GO4 app that everyone is having problems with. HDMI out and great gaming you can't go wrong. And...
I have 6.0.1 on an Nvidia Shield tablet. I think the reason I had to disable the app overlays was because ES File Explorer app was trying to run over the top of the settings page and wouldn't register my finger inputs to slide the storage slider off in the GO 4 app. Yes there was an int_map.ini...
For some reason it killed mine the 1st time too. Also the Android device didn't keep the settings until I disabled app overlays. Rebooted everything and it kept the settings and continued to work. I'm still enjoying Google maps so far.
Here's your Android fix,,,,,,
on your android devices go into Settings/Apps/DJI GO4/ Permissions/Disable "Storage"
Device will automatically revert to Google maps instead of the HERE junk.
Congrats!! I was afraid they wasn't going to get it out fast enough and B&H had free overnight shipping. Only have 2 flights under my belt. Nothing even close to the battery's limit yet. Just feeling things out. Did a couple video recordings to try things out and get a feel for the controls. I...
BINGO!!! in my case too! It started cycling again and upon closer inspection it was hitting the ribbon cable like you described. I used my thumb and gently moved the cable back some out of the way and now it never cycles any more than it should initially. Oh believe me, I don't move the cable...
