Recently fly away caused by version DJI GO 3.1.2 - Could I have taken control manually?

Thanks for that.... yes unfortunately (from what I understand) the laws relating to consumer protection do not apply where distributors are overseas or are unauthorised by the manufacturer - see the link to the ACCC I published earlier. And its great that DJI sent out a message to existing...

Recently fly away caused by version DJI GO 3.1.2 - Could I have taken control manually?

No I did not - and yes I should have done so........ hindsight is a wonderful thing! This was my response to DJI: I now understand the issue although I don't agree with way DJI has handled it. DJI needs to be much more proactive about warning customers about parallel imports and the effects...

Recently fly away caused by version DJI GO 3.1.2 - Could I have taken control manually?

This from DJI on the final analysis of my RTH flyaway and the subsequent avoidance of warranty assistance for the damaged battery as a result of the crash. Here is the result of the data analysis: There is no pilot reason on the crash and it is suggested to upgrade the APP, firmware of your...

    DJI Warranty (Warning)

From a DJI customer service team member......... I believe all of the electronic products like computer, cell phones or so on have warranty polices. The regional warranty is not an excuse here. If your drone is an AU version, we are glad to delivery your DJI equipment to get it checked and...

    DJI Warranty (Warning)

A very good question...... they seem to be happy to make the sales but not cover the warranty when they leave China..... perhaps someone else could answer this?

    DJI Warranty (Warning)

DJI will not honour warranties when you purchase products from non authorised dealers/distributers - even if the product is proved to be faulty. You can only rely on the dealer/distributor's warranty polices. In Australia the ACCC website explains the problem here and this DOES apply to DJI...

Recently fly away caused by version DJI GO 3.1.2 - Could I have taken control manually?

This is not always the case . I was testing RTH by setting the altitude to 50m, confirming the home point b4 take off, had 11 satellites and compass calibrated. After launching manually I hit RTH, it went up to 50m and flew off. The logs showed it did not lose contact until the end of the...

    Strange Battery Charging Issue

Thanks Rod... Yes I do need to get a spare battery - in the meantime I am interested to hear that your lowest charged battery gives the same 1234 light sequence but eventually charges...... which may confirm something I have suspected.... my battery may be too discharged to charge normally...

    Strange Battery Charging Issue

OK..... many thanks for all your responses - it has given me a few extra tests to do. At the moment I do not have a spare battery to test - I am in the process of getting one. 1) Turn battery on not connected to Phantom or charger - comes on normally (4 lights, then 1 light) then dies 2) Turn...

    Strange Battery Charging Issue

Thank u and thanksfor responding..... I can turn the battery on when out of the P3, it will stay on for a few second when I plug it into the charger. The end result is always lights in sequence 1 2 3 4 then blank for 5 sec then repeated. :-(

    Strange Battery Charging Issue

Apologies if this has been discussed before - but I have done a fair bit of searching and cannot find this exact problem. A brand new P3 Standard battery has been charged successfully once will not charge a 2nd time. When put it in the aircraft and turned on the first light glows green for a...
