Just put the .bin file in the root directory of the SD card. If you get the D-D-D-D-D beeps that means it's updating. Mine took about 30 mins and then I got the D-DD beeps. The upgrade process will create a text file on the SD card that will give the results, good or bad, of the upgrade.

My Macbook Air running OS 10.7.x would not open PT2 but after upgrading to 10.9.4 (Mavericks), PT2 opened normally. It would be nice if DJI would make their software a little more robust, OSX vesionwise. Carroll Lam

I had the same difficulty of not being able to tighten the screws on the mount to keep it from rotating. I managed to solve the problem by loosening the two screws that hold it and slide the bracket towards the bend in the support rod and then tightening the screws. Tightening the screws now...
