I had mine apart to install the flytrex and noticed the live wire from the battery was frayed and I had to put some heat shrink tubing on it. To do so I de-soldered the orginal connection and noticed how loose the negative wire was so fixed that too.
As you say it takes 5 mins to do so it seems...
So I've set the quad up at 11.1v and 0.6v load = 10.5v total for first low voltage warning.
I've checked 4 packs and they're all sitting at 11.1v after a flight
To me this sounds quite high as it's 3.7v per cell. I would much rather giving the quad a bit more abuse and getting them to...
Well at 8mins 20 flight time I can use my four batteries and have one fully charged again by the end of the batch so get 5 flights for 4 batteries. If I don't balance charge I can probably get the charge times down below 20mins by enough to have a constant cycle of flights. With the 5 batts...
So I took the prop guards off as I had a spare few minutes and checked flight time again.
Went from 7:25 with a low level flight mainly hovering to 8:19 with a few bursts of speed and the prop guards do slow the bird down!
I charged the battery up and put 1789mAh into it so I'm just above the...
Add weight.
Also the gimbal should be level when it is simply hanging. It's constantly having to work to stay level at the moment.see if you can move your camera and adjust it. When I first tried i had to selotape a bolt to the side of the mount to keep it level.
EMCsquare - Those voltages are higher than what I'm at allowing for the loaded voltage.
SimonH78 - Those voltages look rather low. 3.1V per cell looks like permanent damage territory.
I will drop my first level warning a tad more and increase the loss to 0.7v. I don't think I'd be happy with...
I'll reply to myself...
Just been out with the newly adjusted settings of
11.1 - 0.6v (stage 1)
11.0 - 0.6v (auto land)
and I got 7mins 25secs flight time. Mainly hovering but a few short burst of action. Not too bad considering it's about as fully loaded as it's going to get. I expect if I...
I've just been outside timing my flighttime with the FC40 and it's abysmall.
I'm running a FC40 with a Walkera G2D gimbal with FC40 camera and Mobius camera attached. Basically 5g lighter than adding a gopro.
It's got the Vision props and Vision prop guards and I'm getting a whopping 4mins...
I had no issues flying near one by my house:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1Re82D ... GA8o-qQU_A
I do think they could cause interference to GPS as they are generating electricity and they must be producing some interference.
I didn't get too close and I was too new to risk flying through...
I think if I cut holes around the door it should allow the connectors to go in down the sides a bit easier which in turn will make removing them better.
The batteries haven't puffed noticably. They've always been tight due to them being fatter than the stock battery but last night was taking...
I was out flying last night when I tried to remove my battery. I couldn't.
I've always found the batteries to be a tight squeeze into the tray - either stock or some Tunigy 2200's. The batteries seem too fat to slide in and out easily.
Is there anything I can do to help out with this issue?
I...
I noticed after 5 flights that my red power wire to the XT60 connector had a massive tear in it leaving live wire exposed. I fixed that up with heat shrink tubing but reading all of these comments make me think that next time I have the bird apart I'll re check all of the connections.
You can search the forum for wifi repeaters and set one of those up.
I've had my FC40 out to just over 220m in a built up residentail area and still had perfectly good wifi for the video feed.
at that distance the fc40 is just a blip.
Going on its stats:
25mins flight time
15m/s max speed
1500 seconds = 22'500m
A steady cruise at 10m/s / 22.4mph / 36 kph would do the 15km in its flight time.
