I do not have prop guards. Also, I rarely fly in still air. IF this ever happens again (should be easy to prevent) I will apply right stick. Easiest thing to do is to come down at an angle. I will do my best to pass this wisdom along.

Thanks to each and everyone for answers that are on point, and with background information. I'm flabbergasted by the speed of responses as well as the depth. I do understand my little helicopter is a real airplane that has to deal with the laws of physics just as I do with a full size airplane.

Don't know where to look for this...but the problem is with the app, the new version. The Phantom is right out of the box. I called DJI a second time...they can't get the app to work in house, and know of no solution on the iPhone or Android side.The Phantom is useless for its intended purpose.

It's a faulty app, according to DJI. There is no fix until an update is released through the App Store. Mine has done this out of the box...the product is unusable for me until this is fixed. Two weeks? Two months? DJI does not know. But a lot of people on Android and iOS have this problem.

I did, the app crashes/freezes, loses contact in the same way. Indeed, the issue seems to be with the app itself. I am willing to try anything.

Hello all, Out of the box the camera on my Vision + will not connect with iPhone. Spent two days trying then 2 1/2 hours on hold with DJI...the gentleman tried to help, but said this is a known issue with the app that was just released. He said there is no known fix until an update is available...
