That's the total width of the backpack in a slack state. You can easily squeeze the bag a little bit to fit into the overhead bins.

Used only once with P4. Then I got the smaller Mavic. This is a great backpack that can fit all P4 necessities. Here's the link I bought at Amazon...

First Video Upload - YangTai Mountain at Shenzhen China

Thanks for the comment. This mountain is in the urban area, so it has walkways. If it's in the countryside, it's also dirt road. What's better in the US is the freeways and roads leading to the mountains. Anyway, I did have a lot of good food like Cantonese roasted duck and coconut chicken...

    Backpack suggestion for P3A

Also thumb up for the Lykus backpack. Fit my phantom 3 professional and has hard cover to protect the drone, but it is also a soft backpack that makes carrying very comfortable.

    Best phantom 4 pro backpack

For hiking, you need a backpack that's easy to carry and can your accessories. Take a look at the Lykus backpack I use. It's a good balance between drone safety and carry comfortness. Drone and parts are put in the lower compartments; food and water in the side pockets or upper compartments.

    Best Backpack for P4?

I got the Lykus backpack in the list mentioned in #2. It's not a regular camera backpack but rather specially made for DJI Phantom drones. I put my P4, 2 batteries, controller, hood, 8 propellers, ipad and other small items in it. I'd say even with those stuff, it feels much more comfortable...
