Calibration should always be done in non-metal enviroment. Check Sensor status in App before takeoff to see if there is possibility of compass error. Some compass errors and ATTI mid-flight are scary AF. If you are taking off from location like that you can avoid them if you have someone holding...
I'd rather have them malfunction on a drone then in my hand. I am not talking about rules and regulations. It is a lot of fun. And chances of hurting someone or causing damage if used like in a video I posted above is none.
I need another tablet for my P4P. I use nVidia Shield K1 for P3P and would buy another one but it is not available. Closest to it (performance/price wise) is new Xiaomi MiPad 3. Anyone with first hand expirience? I use Go and Litchi.
This Roman candles are entry level fireworks. I didn't think comparison with handgranade is appropriate. Size of the "fireball" inside the candle is not more then 5mm and it burns out in 10-ish meters after launch. Fun/danger ratio in this is huge.
I just did my first flight after I updated Go app 4 to latest version (Shield K1 on latest Marshmallow) and most of the flight it notices me that Aircraft is disconnected. I have proper video feed but no telemetry. I'm still on FW version before that problematic last one and haven't had those...
Shield got update to version 5.2 (Nougat). I'm sad to report that Go App (both versions) is still crashing on basically every flight. Back to Marshmallow...
