    Hello,

Does anyone know if I can retrofit an H3-3D gimbal and GoPro to a P2V+?
Is it pretty much the same unit as the P2?

I have a broken/salt drowned P2 and want to swap out my bits including the gimbal and FPV and iOSD Mini to another working quad body.

    Cheers

Yes I've done that myself and works perfectly.
You will have to use Phantom 2 tool to enable gimbal tilt control with the lever.

If your FPV kit is 5.8Ghz than you will have to swap RC transmitter and receiver as well.

    I'm using 5.8Ghz RC transmitter/receiver and 2.4Ghz FPV kit.

Thank you. Are there any clear advantages to using the Vision+ over the P2?

I have converted my P2V+ that way only because Vision + gimbal/camera smashed in to pieces after a crash.
If you have a working P2V+ than there is no point in installing zenmuse and gopro on it as you will not be able to connect your phone/tablet to it anyway.
All you can do is convert it to phantom 2 with standard FPV kit.
