Zenmuse latch alternative

I was out doing a test flight with my just installed zenmuse H3-2D and while setting the movie mode the Gopro got stuck and was irresponsive, the usual case where you have to remove the battery.
but I didn't have the screwdriver with me, ops.
Even with a screwdriver is not very easy to take off the gopro under the summer sun, anybody have tried a faster way to attach and remove the gopro, like an elastic?

What if I leave the gopro without battery? if it get stuck I would just need to remove phantom battery. :roll:

Unfortunately, the GoPro will not work without the battery. I was really hoping it would work as I would like to trim off as much weight as possible.

I simply attach my camera with a rubber band,

Isnt the Zenmused balanced exactly for the GoPro? Without battery I would fear weight to create more problems than good. Im guessing the latch is negligible, and may be able to get a lens protector for the same weight.
