Zenmuse dying after a rough landing

Hello all - I had a rather rough landing where the Phantom bounced around a couple of times before stopping. End result was the 8-pin gimbal cable being pulled out with some of the plastic housing (at the plug end) disintegrating. Yes...I know...I am a newbie pilot. However, I replaced the 8-pin cable but the gimbal still doesn't activate when powering up the Phantom. Anyone else experience something like this? Is there a solution or is this gimbal now trashed?
