zenmuse 3d not Tilting !!!,,,,Help !!

got my phantom 2 with zenmuse 3d today...problem is that the gimbal won't tilt, from initial start up to initial flight...also not level !!!...getting no respone with tilt control on the back of the transmitter
installed everything according to instructions,,,
have updated all drivers and updates,,,
my controller/transmitter will not hook up/bind with assistant software....also took it apart to see if it is meshing/touching tilt control
any ideas,,,,very frustrating...can't shoot good video with no tilt

All I can think to suggest is try different USB cables and different USB ports, and perhaps reinstalling the DJI drivers and software.

Good luck! I know too well how frustrating it is to have everything assembled, but can't fly as planned!
