What do you guys use for general purpose camera settings?

Here are my settings:
File Type: JPEG as I don't do much editing other than cropping.
Resolution: I use Medium res as it looks like the only difference between the resolutions is the height.
White Balance: Cloudy
ISO: Auto
(+)
STD, still not sure if I should use Hard, Soft, or Std

RAW and Jpeg medium. All other settings are on Auto. Half the time I can barely see what is on the screen because of the sun so I just compose as best as I can, shoot a couple of shots and then use Lightroom to get what I want. I have been known to go back to a spot more than once to get the right shot.

You will tend to blow out sky detail unless the exposure is set on -0.3 or even -0.6
The metering is generally best set on average.
The sunny setting can be look rather blue, cloudy warms it without going too yellowish (or just use the RAW file)
Leaving on auto it can suddenly click between settings in a video sequence, can be annoying.
