hey guys!

Today on a job the client asked me to film a birds eye view while ascending rapidly. I noticed that it was impossible to keep the view straight while ascending.

I put extra care to not turning the sticks left or right in any way (to avoid yawing) and did nothing but throttle up. The playback of stick position confirms this.

It's not enough to make the footage unusable, but it is very very annoying. You have the shot perfectly framed and bam, not straighton any more.

IMU and compass were calibrated recently and properly.

Is this normal?

The problem was showing on both ascent and descent and now that I think about it I also remember having it on my old P4.

Yeah I had this problem a bit with my P4 and is maybe less on P4P. I think as others have said its fairly normal descending due to wind/vortex and the trick is to ascend and reverse in post. But I will say the auto landing seems to come down perfectly straight without spin..

Could you frame up your shot, go into your controller and adjust your yaw input sensitivities to 0?

Use Course Lock, tilt gimbal down and just descend. Might improve?
