xbox controller as a dji tx?

    Yep stupid idea, I know. Reckon it would be possible to create this mod? Most likely not but it would be a nice size, it has 2 joysticks and buttons that could act as s1 and s2 and options for 7th channel? Don't be mean, I'm bored ;)

    It's not that far-fetched of an idea, there's two ways you could accomplish it:

    1. The PC version of the groundstation will let you fly/control the Phantom with a PC joystick, and I do believe it's possible to get the Xbox controller recognized as such by your PC. Getting the GS to recognize it may be another issue, as it seems it can be fussy about brand/model of joystick used (though most using the default windows joystick drivers seem to work).

    2. There are at least one or two devices available that will let you interface a USB joystick with most RC controllers that use a standard training/buddy port. They're expensive though and I don't know if anybody has tried it with an Xbox controller. Would love to see it happen though :)
