Hitting my post to ask a question, well first to say thanks. As the post reads, I asked for some luck and it looks like it worked. My bird is back in the air with a new shell and 4 new motors all done myself. It was scary but I sure am proud.
Now on to my question. After the repair I now only get 6-10 satellites. Besides the crash which resulted in a bent arm, the other difference is a skin from Decal Girl. Does anyone have experience using these and did you also see a drop in reception. I am not an electronics person and don't know anything about satellites, but it seems like if it was damaged it works or it don't. One last thought, I only waited about 5 minutes and then did a hover with it bouncing between 6-12. Is it possible after not getting powered on for a month it might take time to acquire the normal 14-18 I used to see at the same location?
