Will DJI update Go or will we need Autopilot for Phantom 3 Pro

Hi I am new to Phantom and saw on you tube some new features in an app called Autopilot, I bought the app as they will upgrade it once Apple approve the app for Phantom 3. While googling this morning to see when the app would be updated I came across a post that indicated DJI would be updating the firm ware shortly.
My question is will DJI be updating DJI GO to have the Autopilot features or will still need to use the Autopilot app? I guess in my case a bit of a moot point as I have already bought Autopilot but thought that if JJI Go is to have the features my post may save others from buying the app if not needed.

The Autopilot app that you purchased will be more feature rich.... However yes, the DJI Go app will be updated to include waypoint flying etc.

Best analogy I have is Apple included a calculator with the iPhone, yet there are numerous calculator apps you can purchase in the store that go above and beyond.
