Wifi Extender out of batteries - motors stopped!

Back to the subject of why the motors stopped. It had nothing to do with the Range extender. Just a coincidence of timing.
The system goes into auto-land when the battery gets low and it will land and shut the motors off at ~15% unless you keep the throttle pushed up.

If you want to drain the batteries down to ~8% per the DJI recommendation, you'll need to drain the last 15% with the motors off.
I would Not go all the way down to 3v per cell. That's too far and may cause damage to the cells. IIRC, 0% on the display still gives you some safety margin on cell voltage.
