I'm thinking I'd like to buy some wide/tall legs both for better clearance for the camera on landing and landing stability.

Does anyone have any recommendations or are they all about the same?

I'd probably still like to be able to fit them in a travel case or backpack but I haven't bought any case yet.

these are the one's i bought LINK. Doubt their'll fit in a case with them on tho

I have landing gear extensions on mine. What's great about these is that 1) makes the landing gear tall enough that the gimbal has no contact with the floor and 2) I can use the CF shelves it comes with for extra cargo like gps, ground station, etc.

Only downside is that it makes the phantom about 1" taller overall and I believe that it will not fit on some cases without adjustments.

I did end up buying these but from a different vendor. I read some reviews that said these are more fragile than the original legs. I hope to not have to test them in a crash anyway

They kinda are.

I've never did a full-on test, but if you got the stock legs vs eBay wide legs and wiggled it around, I felt that it was about 10-20% less rigid than stock legs.

These legs do work though as intended to though, I just would avoid all crashes in general anyways. :?
