Why isn't any flight data shown on device if camera is inoperable?

I damaged my camera and needed to remove it. I still connect with my tablet both android and Ios but no flight data is shown. Is the camera the issue?

Yes. The antennas and receiver module for your wifi are located inside the camera. If you remove the camera, you no longer have any means of connecting with wifi.
