I would guess mostly...crashes
Because the cameras/gimbals are incredibly fragile.
People buy a Phantom, crash it, toast the camera (or gimbal) and then sell the drone, sans broken camera, because they're getting out of the hobby.
its like there brand new and they only remove camera and sell. odd
1 or 2 flights so like new (visually, but who knows hidden damage) and tree or something removed camera. Be wary, may be unloading badly damaged item.

Some do it to part it out. You may have an adv and want a 4K camera, u can buy a phantom 3 pro and keep the camera and battery and sell the phantom 3 adv camera, part the body and controller out on the pro and make some of your money bak if not all.
