The past two occasions of me using my P2 with the same spare battery I am getting continuous red flashes when I get to before 30% battery life - I.e. Before the first low voltage warning sign should appear. The red flashes are not like the low voltage sign as they don't turn back to green or even yellow, they just carry on until I land it? what is the deal here? My first instinct was that it must be the battery, can someone clear up the causes of continuous flashing red rear LEDs that don't switch back to green or yellow?

Yes it is related to the battery.
The battery percentage data in notoriusly inaccurate.
There is also a 'hidden' auto-land trigger when the battery reaches about 10.65 volts.
