Who has done the FPVLR stg1 or stg2 upgrades?

Just wondering who has done these upgrades and what you think about them. How much range did they add? Can you post a picture of what your copter and transmitter look like after upgrades. I'm strongly considering doing a stage 3 upgrade.



Ohh one more question. Does that platform on the transmitter come off so you can still put transmitter in its place in a case?

I recently installed a stage 2 as well... Range has definitely increased but not as much as I hoped/expected (perhaps my expectations were too high?). I can get out to about 1000-1500m before losing video (control seems to still be good at that range). Previously I'd lose video around the 500m range. Even with that, I've tripled my range which is really nothing to sneeze at! And in all fairness I've only flown a few times since the upgrades due to weather. On my pervious flights I was only up maybe 100m. It seems everyone else getting excellent range are flying much higher... Something I want to try at my next opportunity.

I have question for people who have done controller and bird mods.

What have you done to make the controllers fit in cases for travel?

Can people post there pics of there mods and there cases for travel.
