I have that hood also and it works fine. The only negative I find is the RC is top heavy and also the iPad and hood wobble on the RC. However, on eBay I found an Inspire 1 iPad mount that directly replaces the Phantom 3 mount but is made of metal instead of plastic. It makes the iPad and hood rock steady on the RC. The only down side is the Inspire 1 mount is not cheap, $33.00. To me it's worth it. Also to make the RC with the iPad and hood more controllable, I have a DJI neck strap and I have a camera strap around the back of the hood to hold the hood upright when I take my hands off it. It allows me to hang the RC from my neck and it won't tip over if I take my hands off it.
