Go for Both, one is free and other is good for advance maneuvers.

can someone give a very brief explanation of the difference I fly a P3 Advanced with a an android phone.

    Is it worth buying Litchi?

I primarily use the drone for taking pictures & video at Boy Scout events.

Yes if just for waypoint (ground station) missions that you can plan off line and then send them to your aircraft

Litchi is good for offline mission planning, once you get used to it, you will always use it for missions.

Litchis video signal is definitely not as strong as dji. No way. I wanted it to work but it's let me down a few times. Also looses connection and crashes more than dji go. I would use it for short range flights but that's all.
