I have phantom1.1.1 and sony hdr-as15. Sony action cam only have hdmi output. I found board that,i belive, plugs into sony nex camera and change hdmi to composite signal . http://www.banggood.com/Aerial-FPV-HDMI ... 09951.html
My question is where could i tap into 5vdc on phantom without possibly voiding warranty.
Is there 5vdc or do i have to take battery voltage and drop it down to 5vdc?
Other option that i think about is hacking into new sony attachment http://store.sony.com/action-cam-camcor ... D27-AKALU1
Sony action cam have expantion port on the battom and im sure there is way to tap into video there, just dont know how.

Easiest way is to tap unregulated voltage from the battery and go through a UBEC to step down to 5v. The Phantom does have 5vdc regulated voltage. The NAZA can supply it in small amounts, but I wouldn't try to power anything off of that. You COULD draw 5v directly from the positive lead from the mainboard-to-X3 wire, but what that means as to warranty...
