Where have you put your FAA number?

The AMA is recommending to hold off on registering until the February 19th deadline unless you bought yours on or after December 21st and have to register before your first flight .
That is their issue (AMA). I am a fan of self regulation. I am also a Ham operator and they have led radio for a century. But I can see no reason to not cooperate with the FAA and get the stupid $5 permit.

Yes I am one of those dreaded "extreme" folks who believe in liberty, the Constitution, limited government, the work ethic, self-sufficience, & personal responsibility . What a radical & outrageous concept!

So let me get this straight. If I don't like it what sheeple with their heads buried in their buttocks allow the government to get away with I can move out? Its sheeple like you who allow them to get away with this nonsense.

Don't write back I don't care for your views...

Registered before first flight in accordance with my purchase date. I find it real funny that some on here will bash someone for not following the FAA "recommendations." Yet they fail to comply with FAA requirements. My number is printed on a label attached to the back wall of the battery compartment.

Who said anything about not cooperating ???? Did I say anything about not registering after the deadline. The deadline is February 19th for those of us that bought ours before December 21st and if you bought it after the 21st you don't have a choice but to register before your first flight . So I definitely didn't say anything about not cooperating with the FAA .

Yes, all the want is a reasonable expectation that they can tell what happened should a drone end up in a helicopter turbine, used to rescue their dumass butt when they have a problem. Sheeple? This is a country built by people trying to assist each other.

I wonder if the FAA realizes that in the event a drone does collide with something, that the registration number is going to be impossible to read.

We have a coast guard heli base a half mile away on the side of Coos Bay Oregon. Everyday dozens of our own kids take off and land in practice flights which they must make to keep sharp when they fly a swimmer out to a sinking vessel. I asked one at the fire hall one day why they flew so much. So in a real battle to save someone they can reach out 125 miles for 15 minutes fuel range each and rotate every chopper on the Oregon coast in shifts till they solve it or loose contact. Among the "sheeple" there are some heroes and they are our own kids.

One of those machines swallow a drone into a 30,000 RPM engine it goes down in the shopping center on approach to the airport.

Show some respect.

Well of course. But they still know who to consider. It isn't so much an exercise in prosecution of the self-absorbed as a matter of investigation.

For such a careful reader you might have noticed the deference to AMA.

What the Hell are you jibber-jabbering about? The thread is about where people are placing their FAA numbers. It doesn't have a damned thing to do with flying illegally or bringing down helicopters!

Ask him his registration number and then we can all put it on our drones.
