When did the FAA first raise its "ugly head" ?

FAA started looking at drones when some fools started to promote their drone businesses by flying all over the place, in crowds, near sensitive monuments like Statue of Liberty, etc.

Trappy did a great job showing us - and the FAA - the capabilities of these "rc toys." And everyone else piled on, posting their sketchy crash videos on youtube.

Isn't this forum supposed to be about Phantoms, rather than political anti-this or pro-that?

A stupid way to start a thread is with a political agenda drum to beat.
