What range mod should i get

Hello all,
I am new to the forum, and I am looking to improve the range of my phantom 3 pro.

I live in Virginia and the areas around me are heavily wooded. The average range for me so far is 2500-3000 feet (750-1000 meters). Once in line of sight flying across the river it went about a mile or 1.6km.
What I would really like to get out of it is about 1.5-2 miles in the wooded areas and 3 miles in Line of sight

Would an unboosted antenna setup like the Itelite do this, or do I need to go for something boosted?
I don't really have any interest in going more than 5 miles at all, since on the standard battery that's about the limit (iirc). I just want to be able to fly without worrying about my signal.

You would be highly impressed with the itelite panel. You would be even more impressed boosting it. I don't go for distance as much as I require signal lock video feed through adverse conditions.

But do I Need to boost? Doesn't that cross some threshold about transmitter limits?

Try it with just the panel. Then try it with amps. There is no issue of transmitter limit. You input the transmitter output to the amp, result is a much stronger transmitter signal.

thats probably the best/most affordable. It should do what you want unboosted. if it looks too big/bulky, this will work as well but not as great penetration through trees,etc.

if i were going to get it, yes, I would get the clean install kit with the panels. You can always add amps later ... but that makes it super easy and quick to install and no drilling, very straight forward.

I have a p3p that has been modded that I don't use anymore if interested in portion of what I have:

Have both the remote mod (clean install), and a battery mod with wings installed to use with removable adapter.
