What makes a Moment

in the flight recorder there are thumbnail photos called Moments. I thought they were created whenever a photo was taken. Just had a short flight, no photo taken only running video, and the flight record has 2 Moments recorded. Why?

If I did there are no photos recorded. Just dl to my iPad and only the video is on the card?..

Your app takes a few Moments shots itself for the flight record so you can identify the flight.
They have nothing to do with the photos you take yourself.
I've never seen more than 4 per flight and often less.

If You are shooting raw images they probably don't show on your smart device, and did you dl from sd card or just cache? If cache then no pictures are shown only video.
