I think Europe is CE - refer to the pink highlights. Your remote will beep once when you turn it on.
And yes, it does depend on your area and interference. 2.4Ghz is in your standard access points, cordless phones etc.
In Australia, so we are allowed the 2 beeps (FC). In my experience, My FPV 5.8 GHZ drops out (about 700m) before the 2.4Ghz Controls about 1km).

I live in the uk so its CE spec for me ..... I wouldn't dream of putting it in FCC mode .... !

With good terrain you can expect around 400 meters or in ft 1,312. Not to shabby. Recommendations are line of sight. But again the terrain dictates how good of radio signal.
