Yesterday I took my p3a out, check all vitals. Wind was at 7mph.

Upon lift off the phantom started doing an upward toilet bowl turns. I was unable to control any side to side movement. I brought her down, which was a bit rough.

Any idea what would cause such a lack of control ?

That usually means you need to recalibrate the IMU.

TBE is all compass. Calibrating the IMU will not fix it. TBE means the compass was providing bad data for which there are two common causes:
  1. Taking off from something that has it's own localized magnetic field like a paved sidewalk.
  2. The compass calibration is no longer accurate or was done near a localized magnetic field.
