What feature will make you upgrade to P4 ?

I think you are talking about the same technology from 8 years ago because there are DSLR's with 24, 28, 36, 52, and even a 50.6 megapixel cameras available since years back, and Canon even has a 120 megapixel (not for retail) and has even developed a 250 megapixel prototype (obviously for other applications, not regular photography), but the point is that the technology is there and has been there.

Not disappointed with my stills, I'm no pro but I'm getting better, I'm not complaining about that, if I want to shoot stills and have PRO's settings then I'll buy one of these said cameras, that wasn't the point

I've never assumed that more megapixels necessarily means better pictures, but they could easily equip the phantom with a higher quality higher megapixel count (it's just a wish)

And if you don't wanna take my word for it and want some reading yourself then here you go
Canon's 5DS SLR has a monster 50.6 megapixel image sensor
and
Canon's DSLR camera boasts an insane 120-megapixels

Done with topic

Ok, so yes there is a 50.6 Cannon. This is the worlds highest resolution full frame. But a full frame 50.6MP sensor will still have a lower pixel density than the tiny sensor in a P3 would at 20MP. And that has a much larger lens with a lot more expensive glass. Even then it's a reasonably specialist use camera and not a generally "all-rounder" due to the down sides of such a high resolution.

Just questioning why you say you "NEED" more than 20 if you have no problem with the stills.
It's at low light I feel the P3 struggles and in low light the quality would actually be improved from lowering the resolution.

But as you say, done with topic ;)

At this point the general consensus seems to be:

1) P4 will be announced on 3/1
2) It will have obstacle avoidance
3) It will have more sensors on the bottom
4) Design will be slightly different - more shiny, motors higher up, legs more fluid, etc.
5) Cost will be $1700

The camera, remote, range, lightbridge, etc. will be similar / same.

Personally, I think I'll upgrade my P3A to the P3P at some point if the P3P drops in price again in 2016 (maybe in the $500-$700 range) since I want the 10 mb/s bitrate for when I'm in FPV but other than that, I have been happy with my P3A.
