What do you consider "essentials"?

I have an opportunity to jump into the Phantom world. My buddy will sell me his lightly used P3A plus extra battery for $400. I think that's a good price.

Anyway, being new to flying what do you all consider to be hardware essentials?
More batteries?
Pack or case?
Etc...

A good solid case is a must. I own a pelican storm case that has been bulletproof...as in actually checking it and having baggage handlers transfer (throw it around) with phantom in it...no issues. I also like to have three batteries minimum as well as the OEM tablet holder for my iPad Air. Welcome to the drone world!
