What are your cheap(er) Phantom alternates?

I'm curious what everyone flies when they're not flying their Phantoms. Not that Phantoms aren't fun to fly (I'm about to drop $799 on my first one, so I hope they are!), but do any of you have cheap(er) drones that they just fly for the fun of it without the worries that come with flying something as $$$ as your Phantom?

I have a little Blade Pico QX that I enjoy flying around my living room.

Apart from that, I've also owned a Parrot AR.Drone 2 but got rid of it after it continually flashed "Emergency" and fell out of the sky with the slightest bit of wind. And, I just sold my Blade 200 SRX for a couple hundred bucks to put towards my soon to be acquired P3A.

Don't have another uav as yet. The new Traxxas line up has my attention though.

I'm practicing on my son's Sky Viper V950HD until I get my P3 Pro. It doesn't hover worth a **** (that or there's just something wrong with this one) and I'm sure it doesn't handle as well as a Phantom. So I'm hoping that learning on something "rough" will tweak my skills a bit.

Not cheap but blade 350, qx3. Its awesome and has waaaaay more distance than my p3s.

I am using an MJX X101 as a trainer. It is lightweight so when it crashes, nothing happens to it. It also has camera capabilities, but I have not installed it on the air craft yet. I am more interested in learning to fly it first. It is a cheap alternative as a trainer at $52.00 on Amazon without the camera.
