The snow has started to fall and we've been thoroughly enjoying using the WaterStrider to capture some beautiful footage while readily taking off and landing on the snow. No need for a landing pad or hand catching with gloves or anything like that. Just like snow shoes for your Phantom!

That's new to me also. I assume from the name that it's designed for water take off and landing. Should be nice for snow. I've often wondered if flying in falling snow if there was a chance of snow flakes entering the vent openings and shorting out the electronics.

Yes, the WaterStrider is good for landing on nearly any surface in any condition -- sand, snow, rocks, slopes, and even water. It floats very well and is extremely stable on water as well.

If you head to the website, you can see a lot of water footage. We also have several videos on our YouTube channel.
