waterproof phantom ideas

If the Naza and gps have no moving parts and heat building in them is minimun why DJI does not make them waterproof ?
And with the Phantom converted to just float on surface as a survival retrieve option .. if droped in whater you just change the motors and main board and flying next day ? is this posible ?
 
Heat buildup doesn't have to be significant to be problematic. You also need to think about the ESC's, which are generally not very heat tolerant to begin with, and they have no way of dissipating it now; even less if waterproofed.

You could always try the trid and true surface R/C waterproofing method; stuff the component in a condom, pack dielectric grease around the leads ans seal with a zip tie
 
If DJI's made them waterproof, people would fly them in to water!

. . Lipo batteries don't like water!
