Hi guys...I am only a wannabe phantom pilot because I have a brand new phantom 3 standard, but can't get it to work. I have spent about 12 hours reading the manuals, viewing the tutorials and YouTube startup videos, and contacting DJI support, but still can't get my RC to link to the drone. I can get my iPhone 6 Plus or my iPad Air to connect to the camera, but only for a few minutes, until the connection invariably fades and disconnects. I'm not very computer savey, and not sure where to go from here. Help, anyone?

    Welcome to the site!

I suggest you forget about the iphone and ipad for now and concentrate on the fundamentals which would be connecting your controller to the Phantom. Go through the procedure step by step per your manual and if you don't succeed, come back and tell us exactly what you did.

While you are trying connections, remember, the P3S video uses wifi only. Make sure your iPhone wifi is turned off, and maybe go outside in a open area to make sure you are away from other wifi interface.
