Ok guys, here it is!

The Walkera Gimbal on the Phantom!

Today was extremely windy, but I had to try it out anyway. For the money, this 3-axis gimbal is awesome! My Phantom was getting knocked around like a red headed step child and the image didnt suffer too much.

Also, the gimbal hangs lower than the 2D version, so I had to extend my legs the "ghetto way"

I added more zip tie heads to my legs lol

BTW, I did 2 tests. One with the stock phantom props and one with the 9inch vision props

Maybe it was the wind, but the phantom definitely shook a lot when climbing.

Oh, one more thing. Seems like the wiring for the tilt control as changed. So I dont know how to hook it up from the phantom to the gimbal.
Looks like it might just need 1 wire, but I dont want to chance shorting anything out

Dragon,

Seems to be the same amount of left/right yaw "jiggling" as a 2-axis gimbal? Are you sure the third axis was active?

Thanks...

it was.
that particular day was very windy and I was between 2 trees that were creating a whirlwind effect.
Regardless, the gimbal died 2 days later and I have since upgraded to a P2+ h3-3d

not looking back!
