Vision wifi question!

I have the phantom 2 H3-2D.

I'm wondering if there's a way of having a wifi link to smartphone like in the phantom 2 vision?

I know there's video downlink and receivers but I'm not interested in FPV. i just need the wifi for basic telemetry like the Vision app provides.

what components need to be purchased/ installed?

Hello,

Your P2 is using 2.4GHz as a control frequency. Wifi is also 2.4GHz. Not a good idea to have a wifi signal in close proximity to your transmitter or receiver for obvious reasons...

You can put a DJI iOSD in the aircraft to overlay telemetry data onto a feed from the GoPro, but you will need to send it to a monitor or goggles over a 5.8GHz connection. http://www.dji.com/product/iosd-mini
