Found out the hard way not to turn on the wifi on my GoPro. Can you have a FPV through the iphone or ipad without turning on the wifi? I will buy the cool glasses, but for now, is there anything I can do?

Getting FPV video on your ipad requires a Phantom Vision or Vision+, but you do have the option of using a 7 or 8" monitor for viewing with your setup instead of goggles.
I'd always heard that if you DIDN'T turn off the Wi-fi on the GoPro it would interfere with your RC. So now I'm confused. Do tell us what happened... now I'm curious.
I lost control of the Phantom. Luckily I set the GPS up correctly. It went into fail safe mode and landed at my feet.
