Videos all play fine but fail to convert to prores 422 in compressor

The videos are all amazing quality and play great on my laptop but for some reason only some of the videos make it through compressor and some of them fail. Ive uninstalled compressor 3 and reinstalled. then also updated compressor 4 and the same files seem to fail over and over again. Its really strange. Any thoughts? corrupt files?

Did you download the files to your computer or are you trying to edit them on the device?

All files are downloaded to my laptops hard drive

You can try an alternative to Compressor.The one that I've used in by Brorsoft. they have a trial you can download to check it out. Workflow is pretty straight forward.
