Video on SIM card v IPhone..

Hi All. Currently videos are recorded both on the Drone SIM card and my IPhone. I use the SIM card to download to my PC
Why do I need a copy on my IPhone consuming space ? Can I delete periodically ? Any difference between the two files

No doubt you are talking about the SD card, the video and image fies written to it are significantly higher in quality to what is saved locally by your flight app.

No harm in deleting the local (flying app device) files, i clear out the cache periodically.

I do like the fact that video is recorded on the local device. Could prove very beneficial in assisting to locate an AC lost and perhaps more inportantly assist in demonstrating the cause of a crash.
