Video lag when changing locations

Running into a problem with severe video lag using an LG tablet.
Around the house video feed is perfect and no lag , but twice now I have taken it to different locations out of town to fly and the lag was so ridiculous I was afraid to take the bird farther than a couple hundred yards. I am talking a 1-2 minute lag here. Yet everything works perfect with no lag whatsoever around the house.
Thoughts?

FWIW, both drone (P3S) and tablet are running latest firmware updates.

I get some lag on my P3A at distances, maybe 5 seconds or so I estimate. Makes it hard to line up shots or make course correction. Map seems closer to real time though.
1 minute is extreme. Not enough processing power on the tablet perhaps? That might even be my issue.

run WiFi analyzer app at both places. Maybe cell tower or someone over broadcasting.

What do you mean by "around the house" ?

I did see a guy on YouTube show his iPhone doing the same, he fixed it by turning the phone 180' perhaps the antenna isn't lining up with the antenna in the Tx
