Very choppy skipping video

Copy to your hard drive rather than running from the DC card.
That should be good for at least some replay speed.
4k is going to be much more resource hungry than 1080p.
Try shooting at 1080p and see how it goes.
The problem is almost certainly in playback rather than the recording.

Learned something new here tonight. Just not appreciating the significant difference between 1080 and 4K. Or the resources needed.

This is important in fact practically essential.
Downloading 4K takes longer than playing the clip, the data can't be transferred fast enough from the card, even if it's an inbuilt card reader.

One frame of 1080p = 1920x1080p = 2MB
One frame of 4K = 4096x2160p = 8.8 MB
4K is pumping more than 4x the data rate that 1080p uses.

Thanks for your input. Reviewed my posted specs and realized this computer has aged to almost 4 yrs. it still works great but 4K video is too much for this machine as I have a feeling it is for a lot of new ones if they aren't built appropriately. I'll give the 1080 a shot for now and look into a computer upgrade soon. Thanks again.
On a second note it skips quite a bit on my DJI APP played on my 6 plus. Maybe some of the problem
