Hello everyone,

I took the advice of this blog - http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/build- ... lticopter/ - and bought a cheap intro version bird to learn how to fly.

Glad I did, my first 2 short flights were a huge success. I'm really liking the this platform.

So what's everyone using for video editing software?

I use Windows movie maker for the short cuts and AVS to make the complete video.

If you want free, you can't beat Lightworks.

It's professional grade software used by major studios - has 32 and 64 bit versions - Mac, PC and Linux. One limitation of the free version is that it will save in max resolution of 720p. If you want to create 1080 videos, you'll need to fork over $8/mo, $80/yr or $280 outright.

There are excellent tutorial videos to get you started and more advanced tutorials on YouTube.

I'm a Mac user, so it was iMovie for me several years ago then I moved to Final Cut Pro X. Brilliant software (if you like the Mac platform).

One limitation of the free version is that it will save in max resolution of 720p.

That is quite a serious drawback.
For free Moviemaker is probably the best option but steer clear of the silly stock effects.

Thats what I have and I knew nothing about editing video.. I am still learning but its a nice program with tons of features for the price!
