I prefer a remote that uses AA batteries, so I was wondering if a V1 remote (without the scroll wheel pitch pitch control) will work with my P2 V2. I don't see why it wouldn't, but just want to confirm before I spend my money.

    Thanks in advance!

I don't think there's any way the Phantom can tell which version of remote is bound. As long as it's the right frequency, it should work.

The DJ6 is the DJI RC Transmitter at 2.4GHz made for Phantom 2. I also prefer 4 AA Batteries, they will easily last for over a month of daily flying I have found. Also the version of the DJ6 RC Controller I have, has the Gimbal control on the Back and the USB port on the front and costs 1/3 of the New one with the Wheel.

If you buy one of these and it does not work you can send it back for a full refund.
