I don't think this is an issue but just to be sure:
About to go on a Litchi mission & I want my son to be able to communicate with me when he sees my (3-Adv.) overhead. His position will be out of site/shouting range so we want to use the 2 ways to stay in touch.
2 ways are- Motorola DTR -550's. They work at 950mhz.
Any concerns about interference?

950 MHz should not cause any problem.

Are you planning to fly out of line of sight? Please don't fly too far as you know battery has limited capacity :)

Vision is limited thanks to some huge trees, between me & bird. Will only be a matter of 100-150 meters between RC & Phantom, my son will be near/under the area, using Walkies so he can tell me when I;m hovering over the area we wish to search. Using Litchi waypoints of , maybe 4-5 points, 10 -15 minute mission.
Thanks for reply
