Using the USB Cable while flying? Do I have to always use it?

Hi just a quick question,

I have tried flying a couple of times without the USB cable connecting my device to the controller. I've notice that i tend to have signal problems since i stopped using it.

Is it recommended to always have your device connected to the controller via the micro USB when flying?

yes, if you wan't to use the Apps.

The P3S/P34K connects via Wi-Fi, so there is not need to use a cable.
